an image Eddie grew up in El Paso, Texas, where he attended a small private school which allowed him to play multiple sports. His favorite was 6-man football. He moved to Lubbock after high school and holds degrees from Texas Tech University and the University of Texas. He currently works in Arlington as a Physician Assisstant in Family Medicine. He and his wife Colette have been married for 13 years. They have two boys Colton,7 and Cavan, 5.

Eddie has always been involved in sports recreationally, especially running, football, racquetball, and basketball. Challenged by running, he trained for and completed multiple half and full marathons. He bought his first road bike in March 2008 and trained for his first triathlon (Benbrook Sprint) in 2008, followed by several sprints and a few Olympic distance races. His first half iron distance was in 2010 - PrairieMan. Enjoying the longer course, he participated in the dGalveston 70.3 in 2011 and finished his first full IronMan in Louisville in August, 2011.

Eddie loves triathlons and has registered for IMFL Nov 2012 and 70.3 Buffallo Springs June 2012. Hoping to gain speed and strength during off season training, he plans to compete in shorter distance triathlons early 2012.
